Great store with a wide variety of shoes and other apparel. The customer service is fantastic!!! I do not know much about the world of running, and am so grateful to the employees who take their time to help you understand what works best for you and why. They measure your feet to see what kind of arch you have and suggest accordingly. I learn something new every time i come in here. Thanks runners route!

I went in today looking for some help with finding shoes that would work for me. Kenji helped me find some shoes with a good understanding of the different brands. He was patient as I tried on 4 different pairs. He also listened as I told him about my knee problems and the way that I run. He understood the difference and finding a balance between cushion and stability. He also didn’t try to upsell me with like Saucony or anything. It was a great experience. Highly recommend Kenji.

It's just a little store, but it is on Kapiolani across the street from Ala Moana Center. The service was excellent. I'm sorry I don't recall the name of the person who helped us, but he was very attentive, knowledgeable and we did buy two pairs of shoes.

Such helpful and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended coming here for any running shoes or accessories. When spending a decent amount of money on shoes I want to feel confident that I’m making the right choice and everyone at the store knew what they were talking about. Will be coming here for now on!

Awesome experience with great selection. Just like most of the reviews say the staff were very kind and thoughtful. They very much care about your stride and how you run so they can match you up with a shoe that works best for you. I loved the selection of on the go snacks and running peripherals. Thank you again for setting me and my buddy up for success for the Honolulu Marathon. Great experience, would highly recommend this business which also appears to be locally owned.

I used to do compete in triathlons along time ago. Decided after all these years to start running again. As a seasoned (old) guy I had a few shoes in mind. Definitely wanted ASICS. The salesperson was really knowledgeable in the differences between the various models and took into consideration what I needed as an older runner. As someone who has bought a lot of running shoes I found his knowledge and salesmanship impressive. Basically told me the differences between the various shoes, but didn’t try to push any particular shoe. I ended up getting the Gel-Nimbus 27. He even told us “Thank you for supporting a local business”… Last thing, we loved the sign out front: BYOS Bring Your Own Socks!!!

Many running stores look the same and carry the same lines. Runners Route is a refreshing break from the monotony. From the layout of the store (very cool), to the unique and often local products, to the incredible staff - you’ll find yourself wanting to stay for a while. Excellent parking in a part of Honolulu that often lacks parking, too.

Runners Route: My Go-To Shop in Hawaii for running gear. ​The store is perfectly stocked with all the latest running shoes and an extensive range of apparel. ​The staff are friendly, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the shopping experience a breeze.
